I enjoy many types of music, but my fav is the UK's Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. Anyone else?

Well you could say... Pink Floyd.... White Snake.... Rammstein.... Quiet Riot..... Metallica.... Ratt... Twisted Sister.... AC/DC.... White Zombie.... Marilyn Manson.... Deep Purple.... just to name a few more that could have been said, at least for what those of us who live across the pond listen to ;)

Actually enjoy just about every genre of music except RAP - 90% of that is just plain arrogant / annoying sound (IMHO). There are a few I've heard that are cute/funny but not many.
Heavy Metal music is okay, but the voice (singing) I can do without as it's just noise too.

Classic, R&B, Jazz, Pop, Foreign, CW, Blues, Rock, Celtic, etc.. are all fine choices for me.

11-01-2008, 10:10 PM
Give me any genre, and I can usually find something I like in it. Even electronic/techno music. (Of course, I'm a gamer, I've been listening to repetitive beeping passing for music since my childhood. :D)

Nazareth, a classic band and "This Flight Tonight" was a classic track.

The fine band Dire Straits

Mark Knopfler did a nice little album with Chet Atkins around 1983 - nice mix with 2 great guitarists.

10-07-2008, 08:43 PM
Is there a youtube angle Tony or can you send me the track?

10-07-2008, 08:54 PM
Is this it Tony?

I like how they accompany each other on the guitar.

YouTube - Mark Knopfler & Chet Atkins - Instrumental Medley (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wTVLIZaxMk)

Both are very talented gents.

10-07-2008, 09:17 PM
That's one of the tunes from the album. Other tracks have vocals. I have the album on cassette. This reminds me to digitize it for the iPod.

If you're a guitarist, check out Tommy Emmanuel. It's acoustic, but he's amazing. The YouTube videos don't do him justic as you can't hear the subtiles in the performance.

I am into my industrial more than anything else, most if it's German or from a suitably gothic location. An when I say industrial i don't mean Rammstein (there ok just not real industrial) so here is some of my faves that are available on youtube.

YouTube - Cyborg Attack - Born Dead (Trainspotting) (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=KxTmb6fU3RY)
YouTube - Psyclon Nine - Behind A Serrated Grin (Lyrics) (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=gw6WW0kU2j0)
YouTube - Wumpscut/Feindflug - Jesus Antichristus (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=alPinZirnN8)
YouTube - God Module - AMV (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=j3RcClcnIl8)
YouTube - Grendel - Pax Psychosis (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=JWC92Kyo2oI)
YouTube - Grendel - Hate this (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=0k-QHA-QAMY&feature=related)

Just a short list of tunes give them all a good listen.
