AVG antivirus problem now rectified; AVG Accidentally Harms PCs - PC World (http://www.pcworld.com/article/153661/avg_accidentally_harms_pcs.html) . Just in case some had a problem.

There is no such thing.

AVG is the worst possible antimalware application.

Second to Norton and Mcafee.

Thanks for the heads up sangfroid. There are still a lot of people that use AVG so this might come in handy.

Just an update, AVG offers free year's service for those affected : AVG offers infected users free year of service - The INQUIRER (http://www.theinquirer.net/gb/inquirer/news/2008/11/14/avg-offers-infected-users-free) .

Tend to agree with Seth (http://www.freepchelp.co.uk/forum/members/seth.html) that, IMHO, it's not very reliable. Using Avast Home AV (for a few years) and no problems.
