OK, the problem is i cant play videos on many websites especially those i watch movies on for example, it says i need to instal Flash player etc.. however i can watch video on some websites that require Flash ESPN and Youtube for eg. so flash player is definately on my system just not wotkin on some websites. I have tried downloading latest flash but this does not change anything. Now the weird thing is this has happend once before and my mate told me to just unistall Flash then reinstall it and this fixed the probelm. so i unistalled it when it stared playing up again but it didnt fix it this tiem. to make matters worse flash doesnt appear on my add/remove programs list even tho its definatly on my pc cus flash videos are still playin on some sites and no matter how many times i reinstall it it doesnt show up. so i cant play flash cant install or reinstall what should i do. im pretty sure if i could uninstall it it would fix the problem but hey your th experts. Help me please !

Hi, and welcome to Free PC Help.
You don't say which browser you are using, is it Internet Explorer, Firefox, or other?

If you are using Firefox, and you downloaded flashplayer it goes straight to the Firefox add ons or pluggins and can only be removed or at best disabled, from there, hence why you cannot find it in Add/Remove programs.

I don't know if uninstalling it and installing the latest version from Adobe will help or not but it's worth a try. You need to run the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller now though.

How to uninstall the Adobe Flash Player plug-in and ActiveX control (http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157)

Good luck

We have had a discussion running about IE8 and the consensus seems to be that there are a number of problems with running in with XP in particular. I would suggest you uninstall for the time being. You should roll back to 7.

Chances are its being filetered out - check your internet permissions by right clicking on the IE icon from start and check that you have the right security and add it to 'allowed sites'
