3 beeps

The most likely cause is there is a problem with your Memory..

Although this does depend on the BIOS your computer has..

Have a look at this page which gives a good list of manufactures, the beep codes and their meaning.

Hello Toby

Welcome to Free PC Help

If your BIOS is by AMI (American Megatrends International) then the beeps suggest failed memory sticks.
Make sure they are seated correctly and if you still get them then you may need some new memory.
Are the beeps constant or 1 long beep and 2 short beeps?
If that is the case it may be that your video card has failed or is incorrectly seated.
