I have an alarm that goes off through my pc speakers at 6:45 am every day. It sounds like a cross between a ringing telephone and an alarm clock. This happens whether I am on line or not. I have a Compaq Pressario and am running Windows XP. I also have Microsoft Office 2007 Student Edition. I cannot find anywhere to turn this "alarm" off. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Wmtellarcher

Welcome to Free PC Help and I hope you left your crossbow at the door.

Are you sure you have no alarm software installed on your pc at all?

XP's Event Viewer should list the culprit:

Right click My Computer>choose Properties>Event Viewer>Application.

Check the log right around 6:45 AM to find the program that's sounding the alarm.
