change operating system from chinese to english on laptop

Anyone ever bought a chinese laptop with a chinese windows operating system and reinstalled an english operation system. Can it work or am I asking for trouble?

Welcome to Free PC Help

As long as the keyboard is in English and the Chinese version of Windows has completely been removed from the laptop I see no reason why not.

I agree, although if the laptop is an obscure model though, then device drivers may be a problem. Can you post the make and model of the PC and we can find out if device drivers are readily available from an English:) web site?
