Floppy problem

Way back when using a Win98 PC I bought Microsoft "Return of the Arcade" set of games on a set of 3.5 floppy disks. I transferred them to an external hard drive, but when I now try to install on my Windows XP, I get a message saying it is trying to open drive A:, which of course doesn't exist. Any ideas please?
