Hi there, can anyone help me. ?

I have a fairly new Advent Desktop PC with Windows xp.and cannot get it to work.

I have a "No signal" message on my monitor when it eventually comes on

and it keeps rebooting itself over and over again.
and showing a message no signal

The Microsoft windows sign does appear but them it reboots and switches off and asks if i want to log on in safe mode..which i have tried and it doesnt seem to work.

I wonder if it could be a Virus or power surge problem as i have recently used a different power cable ?

Thanks
Rachel

Ok it seems to me that your graphics has died, do you have onboard graphics or a stand alone card in your pc?

You mentioned that the computer was fairly new. Is it under warranty?

Here are a couple more options:

1) From the boot menu, choose "disable auto restart on errors" if that option is listed.

2) From the boot menu, choose "VGA mode only".
