Hey, how did you guys start freepchelp? Just wondering lol.

I've really been wanting to do some sort project based around a community cuz i think i've got decent experience and knowledge. But it's never going to happen as i haven't a drop of creativity in my head to think of something decent to startit about! :)

Anyway... yeah,

Pricey

Hey,

It started out as a really crap website. One day I was bored and decided to play with FrontPage Express 98 :p... I first ripped off www.computerhope.com but then realised I was on to something so when I was in High School I designed Free PC Help and made it unique. I must have created about 4 or 5 different versions of Free PC Help over the years, but each one offering something new. At one point Free PC Help was quiet popular – must have been about 2 years ago -, tonnes of emails but then we had trouble with hosting, and it declined from their. I’m on a mission to bring it back up though.

That’s it basically, I met James though computing.net (which I have to say has gone down hill a lot)..

P.S. Im working on a new site. This time for 'keeps'. I wont have much to do with it anymore apart from owning the domain and paying for the webspace. Shall all be revealed soon.

Hi Mike and PriceChild.
This one has me asking a lot of questions too. Hope you don't mind an old man jumping in.

Just bookmarked your old site Mike. I'll look into it more later.

My primitive web site had a link to here before Free PC Help went off line late last year. I waited a long time to remove the link since I hadn't heard back.

Should I take the time to add the links back? If this site intends to stay active and online I will. I think it would be great to be one of the first members "again".

Or should I wait for a newer site? Or both?

Is there anything I can do to help repay you for previous help or to promote you again?

Would it help if I posted questions to get it started again?
Because I have a lot of questions.
So many I don't know where to start.

Yes I do.

I'll post if anyone is up to Regestry modifications.

Don't go away again and leave me hanging. It's exciting to be here at the new beginning. I check out this site everday.

Greetings RandyL

First of all, dont be shy to ask us questions. It's what we are here for - just find the right forum and post away :)

Secondly, I am thinking that this site is going to be around now for the future. I know Mike is working hard to produce a fully working website for FPH. Any linking you could do would always be appreciated.

I look forward to helping you in the forums :)

Regards,

merciarich

Wow, I completely forgot I met you through Computing.Net! And I completely forgot about that site until now!

It really has gone downhill. In fact, the spirit of that website is what is in my heart and mind when we started these forums (both the original time and these). :)

i rememeber my days of joinin this site.. i met mike through james.. i needed hosting .. mike helpedme out .. and again (thanks mike :D )

yeah well the last site when i was a part of (djsamco) i remember that it was really lively and now its just a case of rebuilding that status.. either we need more pc "geeks" :p or we need more "n00bs" :p (only joking) but still there was alot of stuff that happend on the last forum that i wouldnt like to see happening again becuase
1. i got involved
2. someone had a grudge
3. (any reasons you have)

but i feel that if we all aim our spirits high.. thanks you mike sorting the site out and what not .. i feel that free pc help will once again rise and be a strong place that many confused or clueless users can come to :p .. if they are at leaste able to do that :p
(just occurs if someone needs help to browse the web .. how will they find the site ... bar google and search engines)

anyways i for one am happy cuase i deffinatly know with all the friendly faces that this is somewhere to get possitive and free help thanks to many of us that are back here again after the dilemma

thank you alll and especially mike for FPC
adam ..:D

Gentlemen, the site has returned with a vengeance.
I have noticed that you frequent here on a regular basis Randy and I would like to say hello from one old man to another.
