Hi i am having trouble with accessing secure sites like hsbc internet banking.I can bring up the home screen but when i put my number in and try to log on it says! internet explorer can not show this web page!
Anybody out there know what the problem is.Thanks for your help.

Hm, it is either because your computer is infected with malware or somehow your Internet Explorer security settings have become messed up. The instructions on this page describe a feature of Internet Explorer 7 designed to reset all settings. If you don't have IE7, your first port of call is Microsoft Update.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, you are likely to have a malware infection. Here's what to do.

First, download the Windows Defender software. Install it on your computer and then restart it your computer in Safe Mode.

You then need to scan your computer with Windows Defender. I recommend you choose "Full Scan". Once the scan is finished, quarantine all of the items.

After all of that, I strongly recommend you change to a faster, better and more secure web browser such as Mozilla Firefox. You will be much better off, I promise you. :)
