Hi, I running a HP 15 TS Notebook on windows 8.1 64 bit.

For weeks my screen has shrunk. It has a black border of about 1.5cm all the way around. I have been researching it and can not find a fix.

Resolution is 1366 x 768 and it says it's recommended. I have tried all the setting to no avail. I have not had the laptop long and it's really winding me up.

Please help if you can TIA

Hi. I had that same issue and res change didn't fix it.
I updated the graphics drivers and that fixed it.
You could even try rolling back the graphics drivers via Device Manager.
Worth a try.

My drivers for it are in monitors: Generic monition pnp says in details was configured in 2006, and the display adapters says intel (R) HD graphics 4000. It says they are up to date and no option to roll back?

any ideas please

Hi, have you tried a system restore back to a time before it went wrong?
It may be due to a Windows update as I recently got an updated driver for my system, which first of all didn't install though it wiped the original driver, so I then had to search for a new driver. That worked but my N.Videa control panel vanished, so I still have to try a system restore myself.

To try what Nev has suggested:

Windows Key ( hold down ) and press "S"
Type in .....restore ...
Hit "Create a Restore Point"
Click on "System Restore"

select a date just before the start of your problem.

Your files and photos etc will be fine.
