I Recently Purchased A 2nd Hand Laptop Running Windows Xp Media Center But For The Life Of Me I Cannot Get Any Sound From It Even Though It Says There Are Dual Speakers Built In Please Help Me If You Can Many Thanks ...THE LAPTOP IS AN ADVENT 7111 PC...

Thanks for posting back with an update.

Since the audio card was not installed, it might be a good idea to check Device Manager for any other devices that aren't installed and may cause problems. These devices will be in a heading called "Unknown (or other) Devices". Also look for any devices that have a "!" or "?" in front of them.

To access Device Manager: Right click My Computer>Choose Manage>Device Manager.
