Optical Drive won't read disks

I too have the same problem as Janine - System trying to read Disc but eventually nothing showing on drive. So with both DVD's and CD's not being recognized (funny thing is 'I' hardly use this drive - my son plays his bloody games on it) - I'll try the cleaning disc as mentioned. I'll keep this site posted as to my progress!
