I hope everyone is well ... since a recent update the boxes on the front screen are black rather than blue.
The Calendar, Mail, Weather, MS Edge boxes have a black background where once they were blue as shown in this picture from Google images.
Is it normal ?

Hi,
Right click on a free part of the desktop
click on Personalise

On the left side of screen click on Colours

Click the down-arrow of "Choose your colour"
Select "Light"

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the replies - the Windows version is 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1110)

I've tried numerous permutations on the colour selection screen and not yet managed to get it back to where it was.

Can you post a screen shot of your problem screen please Ray ?

Also - did my previous suggestion change the colour at all ?

It doesn't seem to allow a screen shot so here's a photo ....IMG_0156.JPG The dark grey background on the Date, Weather, Microsoft Edge boxes were always blue as I imagined everyone else's were ... it doesn't seem to be something you can choose on the colour page although you can change the box colour to another lighter hue.

Hi Ray,

Thanks for the pic.

I have just had a play with "custom"
Try this:
Right click on a free part of the desktop
click on Personalise

On the left side of screen click on Colours

Change "Choose Your Colour" to .......Custom

Now select the Accent Colour

Scroll down the page to "Show the Accent Colour on the Following Surfaces"

Put a tick in the box as shown.

You should now be able to select any colour from the palate :)
