hmm not sure .. i would suspect cuase the swap magic is before the game loads.... i would say use the action replay first .. then when it says load your your game .. swap your disks.. have you actually got a action reply thing or are you wondering before you buy one?

There seems to be a few people with this problem, not being able to use Action Replay with SM 3.6. The reason being is that SM has the ability to load homebrew from memory card or USB flash sticks. This is the reason why so many people has this problem, because in order to have an updated list of codes, you need one or the other plugged in you PS2 and this messes up the boot sequence. So here's what you gotta do:

1. Turn off your PS2 (that includes the power button on the back of the console)

2. Turn your PS2 on with Action Replay in it

3. Load your codes

4. Press Start game with codes and put in SM

5. ***IMPORTANT*** Now press X to Lauch SM. As soon as you see LAUNCHING GAME in Action Replay, quickly remove your memory card or Flash stick (Both memory card slots has to be empty, so is both USB ports)

6. Do the usual with SM, put in your backup and load the game

7. If you get a failed attempt (wich will probably happen a few times if you don't time #5 correctly) go back to step 1.

8. If your game lauches properly, put in your Memory card(s) and, ENJOY!!!
