am running windows xp on my acer laptop and the windows taskbar has moved from the bottom of the screen and is now displayed vertically down the side of my screen,how do i restore it to its original position,have tried rebooting to no avail,help!!!

Hold the left mouse button down on the bar and just drag it to the bottom.

Welcome to Free PC Help.

First right-click on the taskbar and make sure "Lock the taskbar" is not checked.

Then click and hold the taskbar and "drag" it down.

Then right-click on the taskbar again and select "Lock the taskbar"
