Basically, i am an idiot. I was having a clear out on my PC removing all the programs i don't use anymore and got a bit over zealous by accidently uninstalling what i think is one of the programs required for my speakers to work, or the speakers themselves, maybe even the soundcard. At the time i didn't have the internet, as my router had packed in, and a little message kept coming up to say new hardware detected. I then made the error of accidetly telling it not to notify me of this in the future making my problem even harder. Please could anyone help me with my problem or have i screwed up royaly and need to pay a computer technician to fix it?
Anyones help would be greatly appreciated.

AHA a very easy fix

go to START - SETTINGS - CONTROL PANEL - SYSTEM - HARDWARE TAB - DEVICE MANAGER - SOUND, VIDEO AND GAME CONTROLLERS press + now right click the audio drivers and select update driver
it should connect and install drivers

If you know the name of your sound card you can go to the companys site and download drivers software etc

If your sound in On board (on the motherboard) then you can find the drivers on the companys website that makes your Motherboard

This should help

You can also register on my site as we will be offering Video Tutorials on demand and Written Tutorials we also answer questions same as here

Great, thanks for the replies. On my device manager its got a question mark under the other devices (multimedia audio controller) But when i try to update this it say that it cannot find the software required for it. Is there a good place to start looking for this?
