windows 98 Internet explore 6 looks bad

I have windows 98 running IE 6. Graphics on pc looks ok BUT when I go onthe internet most of the sites and graphics look fuzzy and blurry. Can you help?

Have a read of this also Ray.
If it's a big fat CRT monitor the focus may be off and will need adjusting.

Doesn't really sound like an alignment problem but an easy way to do a quick check is to bring up a black command prompt screen and look at the white type while moving the window to various areas of the screen. May want to use a magnifying glass to look at the type. You should see the type composed of clear white dots. If the characters look fuzzy, focus is the problem. If the convergence is off then you'll see obvious ghosts of the red, green, and blue components.
