Can anyone help,

I am trying to install a joystick (Saitek X36F), and I get this message:

'Your gameport or gameport drivers are not properly configured. Please consult the device manager'.

I have the driver disc for the joystick and I have even downloaded the latest drivers from the saitek website, but nothing seems to work. The joystick connects through a USB and when I plug it in, my computer says that it is an unknown device.

Any help would be appreciated as this is driving me mad!

I have: windows XP, 666Mhz, pentium 3, 600mb RAM.

Thanks,

Alex

Does Device Manager show any devices with a "!" or "?" in front of them?

You probably have USB1. Do you know if your joystick is compatable with USB1?

Yes they show a yellow sign and a 'i'.

It wont let me add any of the custom joysticks either.

My joystick is old - a saitek X36. Is it a case of getting a new joystick?
